Useful resources
The TAPS web-site contains an area for Patient Safety Resources including:
- Key resources – documents which will provide you with an overview of the current state of patient safety theory and policy
- Tools for patient safety interventions - a document providing a list of tools that have been developed with the specific aim of improving patient safety.
- Patient safety publications and websites – a list of patient safety resources (publications and websites).
The NEWT Guidelines book was placed on the UKMI recommended resources list some years ago. The second edition of the book was published in May 2010, and the Website was launched in August 2011, with over 100 updates already. The website is available by subscription, though the front-end (general practical guidance) is free-to-access at www.newtguidelines.com.
